Job Title: Brand Executive

Reports to: Director, Business Development

Supervising: N/A

Location: Lagos (but would require business travels)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Brand Communication Executive will formulate and execute sustainable brand strategies for Afriland’s brand portfolio.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and manage the company’s branding, marketing and communications strategy, social media, integrated plans programs, content management and budgets.

Design, plan and deliver key message, high-level marketing communication materials, publications, press releases, advertisement, major events, customer programs and relations.

Manage the company’s corporate image, brand, and marketing and social media communications/tools.

Maintain responsibility/quality control of content, design, production and functions of the brand and communications portfolio.

Collaborate and manage external media relations.

Conceptualize strategic marketing initiatives and implement integrated brand campaigns.

Build the company’s social and e-media presence across various stakeholders.

Website management.

Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

Experience with MS Projects, Ms Office applications, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and other graphic software desired.

Result driven and execution focused.

Demonstrated ability to solve problems using brand, marketing, creativity, design methodology and tools.

Excellent analytical, business and oral communication skills.

Strong project management background.

Social Media Literacy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc)

Strong written and oral communications skills.

High attention to details and meticulousness.

Strategic thinker with strong ability to execute.

Advanced writing, strategy and research skills.

Strong personality and visual projection with an intuitive feel for new media.

Fluent oral and written English.

Knowledge of another major language is desirous and encouraged.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a related course; an advanced degree is a plus .

At least 6 years direct or related experience in brand management, marketing, journalism or public relations in the private sector.

Internationally exposed; possess strong networks, ability to interact with local influencers and engage with diverse people.

Proven track record of understanding and creating world class brand value.

Track record of success in managing multiple complex projects at the same time.
