Job Title: Project Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Head, Projects Management Dept, the Project Manager will assist the Head of Project to manage and safely execute major development projects.

The responsibilities include;

  • Coordinate and monitor design and construction process
  • Guide implementation and maintain oversight of projects
  • Ensure that performance meets targets established by all stakeholders
  • Develop project requirements and define roles and responsibilities of project team
  • Serve as a construction expert and provide counsel to Clients in the development of projects
  • Manage project scope, control costs and ensure compliance with contract documents
  • Manage process for approval of funds
  • Develop execution plans for the projects
  • Work with the Client’s team to ensure project obligations and contract documents are satisfactory and project are closed out financially and physically
  • Articulate client’s requirements, develop project briefs and manage briefing process

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline with minimum of 7 years relevant construction/project management experience
  • Project Management qualification/certification is an added advantage
  • Experience with Environmental, Health and Safety matters
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Independent thinker, capable of identifying emerging issues and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Ability to self-manage/motivate and independently drive performance in a challenging environment
  • Needs to be confident and display enthusiasm for construction
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver against measurable goals
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in the use of Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • 3 years’ experience as an owner’s project manager on major construction projects
  • Track record of project delivery in Nigeria
